When it comes to local shopping, the Space Coast has everything you could want and more!  You can find any variety of goods from clothes to appliances, sporting goods to sporting apparel, shoes to jewelry, cell phones to video games, interior decorations to outdoor tools, and everything in-between, two local area indoor malls have you covered.  The Merritt Square and Melbourne Square Malls are conveniently located no matter where in the Space Coast area you are!

• Merritt Square Mall
This fashionable mall contains over 100 restaurants and retailers.  It has major retailers like JCPenny, Kay Jewelers, Books –A-Million, Champs Sports, Dillards, GNC, and AT&T to name a few.  It also has well known restaurants such as Outback, Ruby Tuesday, Subway, and TGI Friday’s in or around the mall area.  It’s open 10AM-9PM Monday through Saturday and Noon-6PM on Sundays.

• The Avenue Viera

This outdoor style mall is beautiful with scenic cascading fountains and a variety of different shops for every taste.  It’s a great mixture of department store and corporate store’s like Kohl’s, Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Belk, and Sports Authority speckled with upscale and exclusive style shops like Charlotte Russe and Ecco Shoes.  Fine restaurants surround the shopping area including Longhorn Steakhouse, Chili’s, and The Melting Pot.

• Melbourne Square Mall

A brand new multi-million dollar renovation has this mall looking and feeling pristine!  They’ve added brand new amenities, porcelain tile floors and carpeted seating areas to enhance your mall shopping experience.  A brand new 1,500 sq. ft. children’s play area has been added where the kids can let loose on the playground, experience educational interactive games, or read from a whole library of kids books.  This mall features retail giants Macy’s, Dillards(North and South), and JCPenny but also has new stores they’ve just added like Coach and Finish Line.  Melbourne Square has over 125 specialty stores and eateries like Too-Jays NY style deli.  The mall hours are 10AM-9PM Monday through Saturday and Noon-6PM on Sundays.

• Brevard Farmers Markets

If it’s an outdoor farmers market style of shopping you seek, Brevard County has a few farmers markets around the area where you can find fresh fruits and vegetables and great deals on retail items sold by local vendors.  If you’re located near the Rockledge area you can attend the Rockledge Farmers Market every Thursday from 9AM-4PM at McClarty Park.  In Titusville, you can attend the Titusville Farmers Market on Fridays from 10AM-4PM and in Eau Gallie you can go to the Eau Gallie Farmers Market on Saturdays from 8AM-2PM.  And finally on Sunday, you can attend the Cocoa Beach Farmers Market from 9AM-3PM.  A wide selection of food, goods, arts, crafts, and unique hobby items can be found at any of these locations.
